Aunt Lucy and Henry ( we all knew him as uncle Swanny ) had an amazing and peaceful life in Natal, South Africa in the beautiful home he built for them. That home he built inspired me in later years to do the same. I fondly remember visiting them often as a yound child with my parents.
Sadly Lucy passed away in Aug 2015 from Kidney failure at the age of 91.
Henry Swanneveld served in WW2 as a fighter pilot, flying Hawker Hurricanes to support American Bombers in North Africa.
